Its a little over a week before I depart for Ireland!

  • What made you want to study abroad?

    • I've always had a fascination with traveling and learning about different cultures. When I saw the poster hanging up in the university,  advertising to study abroad, I thought it could be a great experience to further myself and my understanding of the world. I thought "I should give it a try...see what happens." And, so I did.

  •  How do you expect to be changed by your experience?
      • Well, honestly, I think that an opportunity to study in a different country in itself is very life changing.  To be able to claim that you're going to a different country, unsure of what is about to happen, or who you are about to live with for four months is exciting and scary. I believe that whatever comes out of this trip will be for the better, and I hope that I have a wide array of experiences that can change how I see the world and experience my everyday life.

  • What are your goals while you are abroad?
      • Ultimately, my goals are to absorb all of the new surroundings, meet new people, and to experience true Irish culture. I am excited about the classes I will be taking, as they are not my usual required courses that I have been working on in school, but rather more fun electives that I feel that I'll enjoy taking. I hope to learn about everything that is offered.

  • How do you expect to achieve these goals?
      • I expect to achieve these goals by accepting the adventures and experiences that are ahead of me with open arms.

  • What fears or apprehensions do you have?
      • I do have a fear that I could get lost while by myself, but I doubt I'll actually go anywhere by myself.

  • What are you most looking forward to?
      • Everything. I honestly can say, I'm excited for everything, it could even be as simple as walking around town, or meeting my classmates. On the other hand, I'm also looking forward to having some adventures traveling, and experiencing what it's like to live in Ireland.
